Psilocybin and Rob Burbea

A constant unfolding of experience, where what unfolds is closely tied to how I observe. I can see how my beliefs give rise to one experience or another. There is no neutral perception of an experience, because perception itself is fabricating the experience. There is no posibility to “just observe”. “Just observing” is a specific way to relate with experience, and therefore it shapes how this experience unfolds. If I look this way, the world manifests that way. The way of looking creates our world, and there is no escape from this. When we look, there is always a “way of looking” involved.

The universe as standing on a scaffolding of views. Some are thick beams, obvious. Many are so subtle we barely perceive them, thin threats extending through space.

Views as the material which shapes the limits of our world, the borders between things. The walls of our existence. And beyond these walls an absolute, unfathomable freedom. To be anything.

The feeling that freedom is not so much in tearing down those walls, as in recognizing they are not solid. That even though they look so real, they can be walked through. That we can act in completely new ways.

Preception as a weaver of worlds. And views as a hidden ingredient of perception.
